My Creations...Part 4

This was for a 40th Birthday...I was told to surprise the birthday girl...it didn't matter what I brought as long as one of the cupcakes had cream cheese frosting...so I made her red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, limoncello cupcakes with lemon buttercream, and chocolate cupcakes filled with Nutella with peanut butter buttercream...six dozen and they were all gone by the end of the night...glad they were enjoyed by everyone :)

I couldn't decide on a theme for this cake so I did a little of everything.  The gingerbread men, bells, candy canes, and lights were all handpainted and 100% edible.  The Christmas trees are sugar cones and royal icing...each branch is individual which powdered sugar for the flocked look.
It was precious seeing the kids faces when I came in with this cake...at first they didn't want to eat it, but soon enough they were digging in on all the fondant.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Gypsy Trails Gallery...

I was asked to donate cupcakes for the first Gypsy Trails Gallery this past month...it was an honor donating these cupcakes to an amazing artist...

Chocolate cupcakes with nutella buttercream and limoncello cupcakes with lemon buttercream...10 dozen did not make it through to the end of the event...

Gender Reveal Time...

This cake was a combined celebration...it was one of the birthday cakes for my son's third birthday, which happened to fall on Thanksgiving...and I decided to make it a gender reveal cake (baby#3) for my husband's family...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

Whoever came up with this idea is pure genious...

My Creations...Part 3

I had the honor of doing Chrissy's Baptism Cake...very tricky doing all white...it shows all the imperfections...it was super fun to make and completely out of my element...lots of flowers had to be made to cover the middle tier.  So glad everyone enjoyed it.

Happy 60th Birthday Rick...and Happy Retirement
My first attempt at edible spray paint...

Chrissy's First Birthday...

My first giant cupcake...and I loved it...the colors of the cake matched the decorations perfectly...

and the matching cupcake tower...the color of these cupcakes stood out so much...perfect for a little girl's first birthday...love you Chrissy

My Creations...Part 2

Look Hoo's Turning 1 theme...it was so much detail...loved the color scheme...just didn't like that it didn't cooperate during delivery...steep hills and heat were not in it's favor :(

Happy Birthday Andrew...
A nice and simple Dodgers cake...with a handcut LA logo...I must admit...I loved how my logo turned out :)

My Creations...Part 1

Loved the skull and crossbone theme for a little girl...this was the first time I made bones and rolled roses...Happy Birthday Karyna

My first wedding cake...wish I could tell you it was a snap...yeah I can't...a wedding cake is so much more stressful than any other cake...Thanks to Kai Photography for making it look so good...lol
I'm glad the bride and groom enjoyed it...

Under The Sea Baby Shower

My apologies for taking so long to post updates...I was having some major issues uploading and I didn't want to start all over again.

This cake was so much fun to make...everything on it is edible.  The fish, turtles, crabs, etc...are all made from royal icing.  The sand dollars and shells are white/milk chocolate...The sand is brown sugar.

I had such a hard time delivering this cake...I wanted to keep it, but I am so glad that the mother-to-be enjoyed it.

Sporty Baby Shower

Welcoming Baby Kale

Red Velvet...the mommy-to-be's request

I was so honored when I was asked to make this cake.  This is for my little brother's (RIP) best friend and his fiance.

This was my first sports themed cake...and I absolutely loved the way it turned out.  Everything is edible...including the balls...

Pink/Brown Baby Shower

My first time using chocolate molds...totally addicted...LOL

I thought these turned out too cute...
Hope the mommy-to-be enjoyed these (Strawberry cupcakes w/Cream Cheese Frosting
&
Yellow Butter cupcakes filled w/pineapple and Vanilla Buttercream)

Graduation/Going Away Cake

This cake was bittersweet.  So proud of Stephen for graduating from High School after everything he has gone through the past couple of years...and even prouder that he has decided to join the Navy...but it's sad to see him go...we are all so proud of him, but we will all miss him terribly.

This has to be one of my favorites...I was a little worried about the Sailor
hat, but I LOVE the way it came out.
Best of all...there were no leftovers...

Cardinals Baseball Cake

This was my first attempt at using just buttercream...it was cute, but
I have a lot more practicing to do.  I have to be honest...covering a cake
in fondant is so much easier...LOL

LVLL Rookie Dodgers Team Party

My son had his Team Party this past weekend...so I decided I would make the cake and cupcakes for it.

For the coaches and the parents I decided I would make them a special Dodgers cake.

And for the players...I wanted them to feel extra special...so instead of just getting a blue and white cupcake
I had each player's picture printed on edible paper and attached it to gumpaste...and placed each player
in front of their own cupcake.
The looks on their faces were priceless...they couldn't believe it.  At first they were afraid to touch the pictures...the next thing I know they are all grabbing for their pictures.  They were so excited...well worth the work.

Cupcake Camp SGV 2011

Keisha's Sweets attended its first Cupcake Camp

and I was a little overwhelmed at first, but it turned out to be one of the most amazing

experiences.

I want to thank all of my friends and family that came to support me at Cupcake Camp...you are

truly an incredible group of people...LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Keisha's Sweets was on the right side of the table and Sweet Art
Cupcakes was on the left.
For a donation of 150-299 cupcakes you get 1/2 a table.

My pretty little display...let me tell you...after looking at some of the
other bakeries...I need to up my game at the next event...LOL

I love how the cupcake colors match my business cards...
(did that on purpose)

Lil ol' me...LOL

I don't think I would have survived the event if it weren't
for my biggest helper...thank you Brandie

My girlfriend Katie couldn't decide which cupcake she wanted...so
she decided to take home a nice assortment...LOL

Bieber Fever...

Couldn't believe it when I got this request...I knew it would happen sooner or later...I just try and remember the girls today are in to Bieber like I was in to NKOTB when I was a little girl...LOL

There were way too many pictures to try and choose
from...

Cardinals Cupcakes

Went with the old-school and current St Louis Cardinals logos.
These were for the La Verne Little League's
T-Ball Cardinals' Team Party

Who's Ready For Some Football???

This was truly an accomplishment for me...
This was the first time I was able to use Rice Krispie Treats
as a mold...my football could use some help, but for my first try
I think it came out pretty darn good (thanks to my husband for his input)
Putting the little divots in the football really brought it to life...

Loved the yard lines...

The grass was a little more work than I had anticipated...a half sheet requires
a lot of grass...LOL
But I love the way Mr. & Mrs. Jackson's Baby Shower Cake came out.

Dora the Explorer

I have to admit...I had so much fun making this cake.
Especially the little stars...the faces on them are adorable.
Ballerina Dora...

Love the little stars

Relay For Life.
I am actually the Event Chair for

for Alhambra's Relay...
I jumped at the opportunity.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Mardi Gras cupcakes.

Flower Power

I hope the recipients of these enjoy...Carrot Cake Cupcakes with
Cream Cheese Frosting

Happy Mother's Day!!!

It's fun to be a little girle...
In honor of Mother's Day...I decided to make these
for two special moms.

Bikini Bottom

My First SpongeBob Cake
My niece requested a Spongebob Cake for her 13th Birthday...I was a little taken
back at first because how many girls would ask for Spongebob?  But I was so excited...
It was so fun to make...

How could I not add Krabby Patties?

And a Spongebob cake wouldn't be complete if there were no
jellyfish.
